Ryan Reynolds has revealed who will play Domino in the eagerly-awaited upcoming Deadpool sequel.
The Merc with the Mouth shared the news as only Deadpool could: With some subtle comedic word play and the crap photo-shopping of a dominoes board.
‘What did the resulting message reveal?’ I hear you ask.
Just in case you couldn’t decipher the comedian-turned-actor’s cryptic message, Ryan Reynolds very helpfully clarified in a later tweet.
All of a sudden, it became very clear the actor playing Domino in Deadpool 2 would be Zazie Beetz.
But unlike Domino, it’s not manipulation of luck that landed Beetz this presumably long-standing role in the X-Universe.
Beetz is relatively unknown on the film circuit.
However she was hailed for her recent role in FOX‘s Atlanta.
As Reynolds is already working on an X-Universe movie with 20th Century Fox, Beetz is sure to be on our screens indefinitely.
Although the likes of veteran actors Janelle Monáe and Kerry Washington were in the running to play Domino, Ryan has proven his maverick tendencies by opting for the talented newcomer.
Now, Ryan, who’s playing Cable? Rumours are circulating which suggest Reynolds is enlisting the former 007, Piers Brosnan or Stranger Things‘ David Hopper to join him on his mercenary time-travelling adventures.
Deadpool 2 is in cinemas in 2018.
