HBOAs we struggle through the harsh winter of Game of Thrones no longer being on the telly, fans have begun to come up with wilder and wilder theories to keep their excitement alive.
The latest target for wild speculation is Sophie Turner, who fans believe may have inadvertently revealed a titanic spoiler with her latest fashion choice, The Daily Star reports.
You see, Sophie has dyed her red hair blonde, causing fans to freak out that she may not be returning to HBO’s hit fantasy show or that she may even be a secret Targaryen.
InstagramThe idea being that the people of Old Valyria, like the Targaryens, were famous for their bright blonde nearly silver hair, so Sophie’s change in colour may be a huge clue.
It wouldn’t be the first time that a Stark’s been revealed to actually be a Targaryen.
We found out at the end of season six that Jon Snow, who for years was thought to be Ned Stark’s bastard, was in fact the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.
HBOFans immediately began to tell Sophie that she looked like one of Westeros’ former rulers.
Some, however, thought that the change in hair colour signalled something far worse. They wondered whether Sansa may be off to meet The Many Faced God and could be potentially dead.
HBOThankfully, one of the fans managed to maintain their wits and calmed everyone down by pointing out that Thrones hasn’t actually started shooting yet because of this year’s delayed schedule.
So it looks like Sansa’s safe for now but with Game of Thrones you never can tell…
