Zach Braff has hinted the hit-comedy that made his name, Scrubs, could be back on our screens in the future.

Scrubs, which was set in the teaching hospital Sacred Heart, followed the adventures of three trainee doctors JD (Braff), Elliot (Sarah Chalke) and Turk (Donald Faison) as they worked to become fully fledged doctors.

Along the way they had to contend with a whole host of crazy characters including John C. McGinley’s jerk with a heart of gold Doctor Cox, Judy Reyes’ experienced but world weary nurse Carla and Neil Flynn’s clinically insane Janitor.

The original Scrubs ended after it’s eighth season back in 2009 (We never speak about season nine) but now Braff has hinted at a reunion on Twitter, The Mirror reports.

During a Q&A from fans, the Garden State star was asked whether he’d ever consider popping on his royal blue scrubs again and he didn’t say no to the idea – in fact he was pretty positive about it.

He wrote:

You never know, it’s something we all talk about. I’m very jealous of all this Gilmore Girls attention, and Full House, so we talk about it every now and then. So you never know. It could happen. I’d do it.

We’re not saying we need this to happen, but we need this to happen.
