Game Of Thrones season seven is almost over but it seems fans can’t get enough and are actually searching for flights for a quick getaway to Westeros.
As most of you will know, Westeros is actually a mythical place but flight booking site Kiwi.com has recorded hundreds of searches to the lands of Westeros and Essos, as people confuse the locations with real destinations.
Those searching for the fictional ‘North’ are stumbling across northern UK locations, which has increased bookings in cities such as Manchester and Belfast.

When looking at the actual locations for filming this season, Seville, which is home to the lands of Dorne, takes the top spot with a 33% increase in flight searches.
Reykiahlid in Iceland has seen an increase of 25% in flight searches, suggesting that some people want to venture into the lands used to film beyond the wall.
Alison Couper from Kiwi.com said:
It’s incredible to see the influence that Game of Thrones has had on holidaymakers, especially with flight searches to two very different locations in Iceland and Spain.
Although unintentional, it’s clear that the northern cities of the UK are also benefiting from the success of this year’s season!
Now, get me to Westeros.
