BBCShe became the envy of pretty much every single Great British Bake Off viewer when favourite Selasi Gbormittah announced he had a girlfriend.
And after weeks of mystery, we can finally put a face and name to his other half.
Joelle Rainford has been dating the GBBO favourite for nearly three years and the couple live together in London.
Rainford, 28, is a property worker who has been giving Selasi constant support behind-the-scenes – and she’s thought to have not been fazed by his ‘flirty’ relationship with former contestant Benjamina.
Viewers commented on the ‘sexual tension’ between the two during Botanical Week.
But despite GBBO fans still thinking there was something going on between Selasi and Benjamina, it seems as though all that friendly chemistry was just brother/sisterly love.
Romance rumours were quickly put to one side after the 30-year-old tweeted out to his ‘sister’, saying: “Sister from another country, keep on baking missy. U’re a good egg and an awesomely talented baker. Learned a few tricks from u. God Bless #GBBO.”
Joelle, originally from Ferndown in Dorset, also appears to find the public outcry about Selasi’s relationship status pretty amusing.
The 28-year-old shared a link to an article saying ‘Selasi Broke Everybody When Said That He’s Got A Girlfriend On ‘Bake Off’ alongside a peace sign emoji.
If you happened to have missed that episode, Selasi caused a collective sigh from single viewers everywhere after announcing the recipe he was using was passed down from his ‘girlfriend’s mum’ during the signature bake Yorkshire pudding challenge.
