Someone Put The New Snapchat Filter On Game of Thrones Characters

All anyone’s been talking about for the past few weeks has been Game of Thrones: what’s going to happen, who’s going to die, how will it all end?

So much so that we literally haven’t been able to do anything – go to the shops, log on to social media, have a shower, the basics – without someone mentioning the show in some way or another.

Which is why it came as absolutely no surprise when, as soon as a new Snapchat filter was released, people immediately found a way to link it back to Game of Thrones.

If you’ve managed to so far live your life without ever having had Snapchat (kudos to you if you have), let me just explain the new filter for a quick second.

The app modifies your appearance to emphasise male or female traits, dramatically changing appearances depending on which filter is used.

People have been loving it: here, there and everywhere, our timelines are being hounded by pictures of guys as girls and vice versa. In fact, I’d put money on the fact that you’ve seen what all your mates would look like with a more masculine/feminine face. Because why not?

What you probably haven’t seen is your favourite Game of Thrones characters after they’ve been given the new Snapchat treatment. But you’re about to and – trust me – it’s everything you ever wished for and more.

Pictures of the Game of Thrones characters after they’d been put through the filter were posted to the Everything Game Of Thrones Facebook page yesterday (May 12).

Everyone – from Jon Snow to Brienne of Tarth, Sansa Stark to Bran Stalk, and Cersei to Daenerys – gets a Snapchat-inspired makeover courtesy of the Facebook page. Hell, even Grey Worm becomes Grey Worman (clever).

I mean, even if you don’t like Snapchat, you’ve got to agree this filter provides for top entertainment – especially when the recipients of it look so god damn fine.

I mean, Joan Snow is an improvement on Jon – and who would’ve thought that was possible?! And Cersei (or Sensei) looks like a mix between George Michael and someone else with a great jawline.

Even if you’re not a fan, you’ve got to admit it at least provides us with a bit of lighthearted relief after the disastrous events of last night’s episode.

God only knows what’s going to happen next week.
