Spider-Man: Homecoming is now available on Netflix, meaning fans can make sure they’re up to date on all things Peter Parker ahead of the release of Far From Home next month.
Netflix seems to be the place to be if you’re a superhero fan as the new release has joined Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. II as the latest Marvel movie on the streaming service.
Homecoming, which hit cinemas in 2017, was Tom Holland’s first standalone Spider-Man movie following his initial appearance as the character in Captain America: Civil War.
Peter Parker has certainly been through a lot since then, having taken on Thanos in Infinity War and Endgame, so it will be refreshing for viewers to take a trip back in time to see our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man closer to home.
Netflix announced the new addition on Twitter today, capturing fans’ attention with the theme tune.
They wrote:
spider-man, spider-man…
now that’s in your head, it’s the perfect chance to tell you that spider-man: homecoming is now streaming

The news was praised by a lot of fans who are no doubt already in a Spidey mood on the run up to Far From Home, which will bring the third phase of the MCU to a close with its release on July 2.
One Twitter user was quick to take advantage of the new addition, writing:

Spider-Man: Far From Home will follow on from Endgame, showing what life is like without Iron Man, while also introducing Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio, who while traditionally a villain appears to be an ally of Spider-Man in the trailer.
However, some Twitter users had hoped the lyrics from the Spider-Man theme tune meant the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse would be joining Netflix, and were disappointed to learn otherwise.
One person responded:
I thought this would be about Into The Spider-Verse
While another wrote:
How about the best Spider-Man film Into the Spider-Verse?

While it might not have been the Spider-Man film everyone wanted, I’m sure Holland’s adorable naivety will manage to win them over.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is available to stream on Netflix from today, so you know where to go if you need some good old fashioned superhero action to help you get through the week!
