The second trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home dropped yesterday (May 6), giving us a closer look at the world following the events of Avengers: Endgame.

The film will follow Tom Holland’s Peter Parker as he travels to Europe with his friends, a trip which is interrupted by none other than Nick Fury, who introduces Spidey to Jake Gyllenhaal’s Quentin Beck, aka Mysterio.

Teaming up, the pair take on elemental creatures, like Hydro-Man and Molten Man, but due to Mysterio’s evil history in the comic books, we don’t think all is as it seems.

Check out the latest teaser here:

The new trailer opens on Peter gazing at an Iron Man mural saying ‘everywhere I go I see his face, I just really miss him’.

It is clear the death of Tony Stark, who sacrificed himself to save the world in Avengers: Endgame, has had a significant impact on young Peter, who is mourning him in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The mural and Peter’s comment of ‘everywhere I go I see his face’ heavily implies the young hero isn’t the only one in mourning, as the world remembers the ‘genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist’ who priortised the greater good over his own self-interest.

And as one Reddit user pointed out, this means Thanos’ wish in Avengers: Infinity War came true.

In the battle on Titan, after Iron Man drew blood from the villain, Thanos essentially beats the crap out of him, eventually stabbing the hero with a blade.

Leaving Stark bruised, battered and ready to die, Thanos tells him:

You have my respect Stark. When I am done half of humanity will still be alive. I hope they’ll remember you.

Before Thanos has a chance to kill him, Doctor Strange steps in offering up the Time Stone, saving Stark’s life knowing the sacrifice he has to make in Avengers: Endgame, which will save the world.

Although Thanos didn’t kill Stark as he wanted to, he still got his wish as the world does remember the man in the suit of armour.

Reddit user ‘OptimalFBax’ shared an image of Thanos from the scene, and a still from the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer of an Iron Man mural, going viral receiving over 14,000 upvotes at time of writing (May 7).

We also will never forget Iron Man.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will swing into UK cinemas July 2.
