For the three of you reading this who haven’t seen Home Alone we’ll give you a quick synopsis of the film. Basically Macaulay Culkin plays Kevin McCallister a beleaguered eight-year-old boy who gets accidentally left ‘home alone’ by his parents when his family jet off to Paris.
While Kevin initially enjoys his new found freedom he soon becomes the target of two bumbling burglars, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), who have their greedy eyes on the supposedly empty McCallister home.
Parental abandonment and home invasion may not sound like the best topics for a Christmas film, but trust us – with its focus on the importance of family not only is this a truly heartwarming movie, it’s also hysterically funny.
