Universal PicturesThe third and final trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has dropped, and it looks absolutely like the scariest yet.
The second instalment in the newly announced Jurassic World trilogy, Fallen Kingdom pits Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) against a whole host of prehistoric monstrosities.
Front and centre in the teaser is the newest genetic abomination from the good folks at InGen, the deadly Indoraptor.

The Indoraptor, which appears to be an artificial dinosaur, is basically a miniaturised version of the Indominus Rex of Jurassic World fame and appears to have somehow got loose on the mainland.
J.A. Bayona, who’s previously worked on The Orphanage and A Monster Calls, promised Fallen Kingdom would be one of the scariest in the primeval franchise, and from the looks of things, he’s not wrong.
Producer and writer, Colin Trevorrow has praised Bayona’s horror pedigree, claiming he’s bringing something fresh and new to the franchise.
Universal He told Cinema Blend:
J.A Bayona is very good at [c[creating scares]There are things that he’ll just do with a shadow, or a rustling curtain on a wall. He’s so tapped into that kind of fear, especially the fear through the eyes of a child.
He and I are just simpatico, as an American and a Spanish person. We may be the mirrors of each other. It’s by far the most satisfying collaboration of my life.
First of all I think the mainstream loves being scared, and I think the scares in the first movie were made to make children think like they were seeing something horrifying, that their parents shouldn’t be allowing them to see.
We have that a little bit here. But there’s also that same big, fun adventure, sweeping, romantic kind of action in part of the movie that people seemingly responded really well to.
We’re not throwing it all away, but we’re definitely going to some new places.
Universal PicturesIt was recently announced Trevorrow would direct the third instalment of the Jurassic World franchise but no details have been released about what we can expect.
Fortunately, Trevorrow has been very open in what he hopes to achieve with the film, saying he wants to create an arc that wraps all three of the films together tightly.
In an interview with Slash Film he explained he knew the end and he knew where he wanted the three films to go.

He said:
It’s crucial to a franchise like this if you really want to bring people along with you and make sure they stay interested.
It needs to be thought through on that level. It can’t be arbitrary […[…] earlier Jurassic Park movies had pretty clear definitive endings. They were much more episodic.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is scheduled to break into theatres on June 6, 2018, while Jurassic World 3 is expected to be released on June 11, 2021.
