Thanos Threatens To Reduce Earth To Cinders In New Endgame Clip

With just days to go before we finally get to see Avengers: Endgame, the Marvel gods have bestowed us mere mortals with a brand new teaser. As if we weren’t excited enough.

In case we needed reminding, and as we’ve seen a few times now, the clip shows a few worried-looking Avengers trying to figure out how they’re going to defeat the treacherous Titan Thanos.

We’re also treated to Thanos ramping up his threats against the Earth. Not satisfied with already wiping out half of all things everywhere ever at the end of Infinity War, it seems in Endgame, Thanos wants to ‘burn this annoying little planet to cinders’.

The new clip, which arrived as a TV spot, also gives fans the first look at Tessa Thompson, who returns as Valkyrie.

While we all wonder what will become of our favourite superheroes, Iron Man himself – Robert Downey Jr. – told The Upcoming he believes the film’s final eight minutes are the best eight minutes of ‘the entire history’ of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He said:

The last 8 minutes of that movie are maybe the best eight minutes of the entire history of the whole run of them in a way because everyone’s involved. So I was delighted.

It was all there in the universe to begin with, and that’s why I think the Marvel comics have been so numinous to kids and grownups and people.

There’s this love for it because it speaks to the world but it also speaks to the democratic American projected dream, which is far more complicated than that, but there’s an ideal there that’s always been trying to express itself, and strangely, in some ways the best of it has been expressed in these little two-hour segments of entertainment.

While plenty of fan theories and wild ideas have been floating around (I believe in you, Ant-Man), the secrets of Avengers: Endgame have been kept under strict lock and key – even some actors didn’t get to know what happened in the end.
