In just a matter of hours the highly anticipated, The Grand Tour, hits screens across the globe – but now the game has changed after Carol Vorderman was revealed as the show’s first guest.
Despite being thousands of miles away in the humid jungles of Australia, Vorderman – who seems to be seeking a desperate resurgence in her career – is set to feature in the petrol headed debut, reports Digital Spy.
Numerous A-list celebrities such as Matt Damon and Charlize Theron have already been unveiled as participants in the show but the former titan of the Rear of the Year competition is set for episode one.
Apparently Carol is an old friend of former Top Gear hosts, Richard Hammond, Jeremy Clarkson, and James May, and that is the reason she’s the debut guest.
The Grand Tour was borne in the immediate aftermath of Clarkson’s shameful sacking from the BBC after he racially abused and attacked an Irish set producer.
Fortunately for Vorderman, tonight’s guest appearance will be undoubtedly better than last night’s episode of I’m A Celeb which saw Carol devouring a delightful pair of turkey bollocks while sat beside Scarlett Moffatt.
The Grand Tour airs at 00:01 on Amazon Prime in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
