It looks like Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield didn’t hold back at the National Television Awards, as they turned up to present This Morning looking more than a little worse for wear.
The daytime duo were presented with the prize for the Live Magazine Show category, and it quickly became obvious – they were wearing the same clothes as they were the night before – that Wednesday night had run on into Thursday morning.
Holly herself admitted: “I haven’t been home yet, I came straight here.”
Of course viewers were quick to notice and immediately took to social media to share their thoughts:
However, this isn’t the first time they have been guilty of overindulging the night before they have to go to work.
The pair appeared in a similar state three years ago, with the programme coming on air to a silent, empty studio – before Holly emerged from underneath a blanket on the floor.
Phil then popped up from behind the sofa, and told her they had to get through it, no matter how bad the hangover was.
She teased: “Is it, is it that time? Can we do it, but do it really quietly? And can I keep this blanket?”
Back in October, the hosts took part in boozy segment where they indulged in a number of shots of tequila. As the duo discussed the joys of the drink Schofield decided to eat the worm found inside one of the bottles – despite Holly’s protest.
They definitely know how to enjoy themselves…
