The Sons of Anarchy spin-off is screeching ever-closer to our screens and the actor set to step into Jax Teller’s bike boots has been announced.
Taking the handlebars from Charlie Hunman is JD Pardo, who is better known for his performance in the Emmy-nominated East Los High Hulu original series.
Pardo will be playing Ezekiel ‘EZ’ Reyes in Mayans MC, Kurt Sutter’s Sons of Anarchy spin-off, reports Deadline.
Mayans MC will follow the struggles of EZ, a bright, young prospect in the charter on the California/Mexico border.
The narrative joins his proud Latino family once their American dream has been shattered by cartel violence, apparently forcing Pardo’s character down a path of vengeance.
After seven gloriously gritty seasons, Sons of Anarchy ended in 2014 when Jax fell foul of the most epic fatal car chase in television history.
Hunman has said he wouldn’t be opposed to appearing in a dream sequence and Pardo will be joined by previous cast member, Edward James Olmos, who plays EZ’s father, John Ortiz.
Dust down the leather, Pardo, and get ready for a life of chaos.
