NetflixNetflix’s The Ranch will officially come to an end after season four, Ashton Kutcher has revealed on Twitter.
But, fans of the multi-cam comedy shouldn’t be too sad though, because the show won’t be going out to pasture until 2020.
Sharing the news on social media, Kutcher wrote: ‘@theranchnetflix is coming to an end, but not just yet. We’re excited to bring you the final 20 episodes — 10 streaming later this year (2019) on @netflix, and then 10 more in 2020. Stay tuned!’
The Ranch first launched in 2016 and has seen three seasons made up of 60 episodes aired on the online streaming service already, but it will come to an end after season four.
Kutcher stars in the series as failed semi-pro footballer Colt, who comes home to run the family business as a rancher in Colorado alongside his father Beau, played by Sam Elliott. Debra Winger stars as Maggie, Colt’s mum, while Colt’s high school sweetheart and wife Abby is played by Elisha Cuthbert.

Danny Masterson originally starred in the series as Rooster but was fired after accusations of sexual harassment. His character was killed off in the second half of season three.
Wilmer Valderrama, Nancy Travis, Maggie Lawson, Dax Shepard and Martin Mull have all also made appearances in the comedy.
Elisha Cuthbert also took to social media to share the news, with a heartfelt message on Instagram.
She wrote:
One of the most enjoyable experiences of my professional career has come to a close. Over the last 4 years we have completed filming all 80 live shows BUT ITS FAR FROM DONE FOR YOU! We’re excited to bring you the final 20 episodes — 10 streaming later this year (2019) on #Netflix, and then 10 more in 2020.
I’m so grateful for all my time spent with these incredible actors and crew and I’m so thankful for all the awesome fans of the show! We hope y’all get a kick out of the last 20!
NetflixFans of the show were quick to reply with well wishes thanking the actors for for bringing them three great series already.
‘Thanks for a really great show, loved every episode, funny, heart warming at times, the set looks so relaxing and comforting to be on,’ one fan wrote. ‘Excellent rewatch-ability. I’ll be re-watching it for years to come. I’m excited for the final season.’
Another added:’ Damn, I’m sorry to hear this. I’ve enjoyed the show, and it’s been good to see rural blue-collar Americans represented on television for a change instead of all urban/suburban folks. Hope @dannymasterson can return for the finale (I don’t believe Rooster is dead).’
