Bran Stark has officially warged out of Game of Thrones and into the Olympics.

Okay, not really. But his namesake has.

Game of Thrones fans are having a great time after discovering that there’s an actual Olympian named Brandon Starc competing in Rio this year.

This Brandon Starc is not, in fact, a young warg who is key to the war of the Seven Kingdoms – he’s actually an Australian high-jumper.

And unlike Bran of Winterfell, the real Brandon can walk (and jump).

Starc’s similarity to Bran pretty much stops at the name, but that hasn’t stopped the 22-year-old from attracting the attention of GoT fans pretty much everywhere.

There’s been no confirmation on whether there’s a Hodor in the competition yet, but let’s just hope there’s no Jaime or Cersei Lannisters hanging about in Rio.

If you want to see the real Bran in action, Starc will compete in the men’s high jump final on Tuesday, August 16 at 12:30am GMT.
