This is the news you’ve been waiting for if you’re a big fan of the critically-acclaimed Netflix series.
The first season may have had you on tenterhooks, but now the creators behind the Emmy-nominated series have an exciting development regarding the second series, Uproxx reports.
Fans have waited with baited breath for the arrival of new episodes, depicting Steven Avery’s captivating journey and now it seems they don’t have that much longer to wait.
Nexflix have teased their viewers with an announcement the second thrilling season will be on air this year, but frustratingly, they didn’t say when…
Very little is known about what the new season will entail, except it will look at the post-conviction process and all that is involved, as well as the emotional impact on the main protagonists.
Apparently, the new series promises to unveil exclusive access to Avery’s new lawyer, Kathleen Zellner, and Brendan Dassey’s legal representatives Laura Nirider and Steve Drizin.
The original exec team behind the successful first series, Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos will be returning to deliver the behind-the-scenes footage from the gripping saga.
Cindy Holland, Netflix’s VP of original content revealed:
The story is still ongoing, so you will see new episodes coming sometime this year as this story continues to unfold.
We don’t know when for sure new episodes will be coming.
Laura and Moira are on the ground shooting regularly and working on what the right story is to tell in the next set, so we’re deferring to them on when it will be ready.
Very few people inside of Netflix actually know the details of what we’re getting because we’re wanting to keep it really under wraps and it is an ongoing case so we’re trying to be sensitive to that.
This is far too exciting to deal with.
Please let it be out soon, I don’t know how long I can wait…
