Gazetaru/InstagramA Russian man has had his life turned upside down thanks to a similarity in appearance to Hollywood A-lister Leonardo DiCaprio.
Gazeta noticed the resemblance back in January and, as reported by BuzzFeed, he has landed a reality TV show as a result of his popularity.
The man, identified as Roman Burtsaev, is a 33-year-old technical support manager and says he’s been stunned by the Russian public’s response.
The show is broadcast on Moskva 24, and apparently follows Burtsaev as producers attempt to transform him a Hollywood star too.

Romance with DiCaprio has seen the lookalike sent to rigorous gym sessions, on dates, to movie premieres, and even to seemingly receive botox.
Burtsaev has become so popular that fans leapt at the opportunity to join him in recreating the famous scene from Titanic, where Jack and Rose gaze at the ocean from the front of the ship.
He has even had time to create a parody version of The Revenant, but unlike Leo Burtsaev isn’t giving any bears the opportunity to maul him.

Clearly they aren’t identical, but there is a massive similarity.
Imagine if Leo doesn’t scoop an Oscar at the end of the month and in years to come Burtsaev netted one for telling the tale of the Wolf of Wall Street star’s plight.
