Don’t panic, but the latest The Walking Dead teaser trailer may have just revealed who definitely doesn’t die at the hands of Negan.

Since last season left us with the nail-biting cliffhanger of who is going to meet their end at the hands of Negan’s bat, comment sections have been loaded with theories of which character is going to die.

And the most popular theory has been Abraham – until now.

Thanks to AMC, we’ve been treated to a short 30-second teaser trailer.

Did you miss it? Here it is again:

If you see a person with flaming orange hair that looks a lot like Abraham under a zombie, you wouldn’t be wrong, there is a person with flaming orange hair that looks a lot like Abraham under a zombie.

Now, whether or not this is actually Abraham or a lookalike specifically put in to tease us is a whole other question. But just like that Jon Snow in battle teaser in Game of Thrones, there’s a damn good chance this is exactly who we think it is.

Which means, it’s Maggie, Michonne, Sasha, Aaron or Rosita who dies in the season premiere. Carl was ruled out in the initial Negan scene; Daryl, Rick, Glenn and Eugene have all been spotted on set; and as we’ve just seen, Abraham has (probably) been seen in the trailer.

Now, people are arguing that Sasha, Aaron, and Rosita are not major enough characters to be killed off in the show’s biggest cliffhanger. Which leaves Maggie or Michonne – which, let’s face it, is just an evil choice either way.

It would be pretty terrible to kill off Glenn’s pregnant wife or Rick’s only love since Lori. But it’s been rumoured that Lauren Cohan has been away from The Walking Dead set, so who knows?

We won’t know for sure until the seventh season premieres on October 23, but at least we can (probably) cross Abraham off of Negan’s kill list.
