Harrison Ford has led a long line of tributes paid to Carrie Fisher who died aged 60.
The Star Wars actress had a heart attack while on-board a flight from London to Los Angeles on Friday, about 15 minutes before the plane was scheduled to land.
She was taken to UCLA Medical Center for emergency treatment and remained in intensive care until passing away yesterday.
In a statement, Ford described the actress as a ‘one-of-a-kind’ who lived her life ‘bravely’, The Mirror reports.
“My thoughts are with her daughter Billie, her mother Debbie, her brother Todd and her many friends. We will all miss her,” he added.
In her new book, The Princess Diarist, Fisher claimed she had a three-month affair with the Han Solo actor after keeping it a secret for 40 years.
Speaking to People Magazine, she said:
It was so intense. It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend.
Fisher was only 19 at the time of the alleged affair, 14 years younger than Ford, who was 33 and a married father-of-two at the time.
Among other tributes, was Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill who told the world he was ‘devastated’, after finding out the tragic news.
