A Chicken Nugget Festival Is Hitting The UK Next Week

No matter what size and shape you like your nugs, as a chicken nugget liker you are part of a huge and vibrant community.

A brotherhood who take crispiness seriously, and whose opinions over dipping sauces can be debated over long into the night. Although, as we all know, the best option is always BBQ sauce.

Now you can celebrate your love of all things nug at a Chicken Nugget Festival; a paradise for foodies with an appreciation for reliable 3am cuisine.

The event will take place at Infernos Nightclub at London’s Clapham High Street on Friday August 24, and a golden time looks set to be had by all lucky ticket holders.

Nuggeteers can party long into the early hours at this ‘Naughty Little Nugget Party’, enjoying free nuggets on arrival before hitting the Nugget Stalls.

Those bold enough can even partake in the ‘#NugLife On Stage Eating Contest’ for a chance to be coronated with a ‘Nugget encrusted crown’. Here the ‘nugget king and queen’ will begin their dipper dynasty, adored and deified by their sauce-smeared subjects.

Infernos will be festooned with ‘giant floating nugget decor’, complete with a ‘nugget themed photo area’. Surely the sort of flavourful addition your Instagram feed has been craving.

Live DJs will play party anthems as nug lovers nibble the night away. Whether or not The Birdy Song will get a shout has yet to be confirmed.

Tickets are now on sale for £10, with event organisers warning these will sell out like hot cakes. Or, indeed, hot nuggets.

Early bird tickets have already sold out, and there is growing excitement across social media as chicken nugget lovers prepare for the most important night of their nuggeting lives.

One person tweeted:

Just learnt there’s going to be a chicken nugget festival happening in Clapham at the end of the month and my sophisticated self wants go to it. Reason #453 as to why I’m still single.

Another salivated:

There is a chicken nugget festival in London while I am there this summer and I am just so happy I may cry.

Meanwhile, important conversations on the Facebook group are already heating up; with musings over whether ketchup will be provided and whether or not they should bring their kids. (I wouldn’t…)

And if you are living outside of the capital, there is no need to get into a flap. There will reportedly be another similar event in Manchester on 22 September, with a further 13 dates and locations rumoured to be announced in the near future.

This tasty tour is all thanks to The Nug Life, a nugget appreciation society who are ‘all about the beautiful and delicious Chicken Nugget.’

According to The Nug Life Facebook page, ‘We are here to celebrate it’s glory and share the nugget love.’

For those who share The Nug Life’s philosophy, this is the equivalent of Glastonbury and will no doubt provide happy, nugget-tinged memories for many years to come.
