Aldi, the loveable supermarket chain who seem to have us all covered – whether it’s drink, food, or inflatable swimming pools – have gone and outdone themselves!

With the summer season well and truly in full swing, and BBQs and parties taking place aplenty, they’ve changed the game in terms of delivery services.

There’s nothing worse when you’re having a party, and having to do the booze and food run, worrying about what to get, what will everyone want, what if you’ve not got enough cider or vodka, what if they don’t like what you’ve got?

Well hello Aldi…

They’ve only gone and launched a spirits home delivery service, meaning you can now have your favourite tipple brought to your doorstep at the click of a button.

Previously, home delivery options online were only available for the budget supermarket’s wine and Specialbuy lines.

With this latest news, it now means you can fully stock your fridge while allowing yourself to get a little bit experimental in the kitchen – the Aldi website even gives you cocktail recipes!

And if you’re struggling for some inspo, check this out from the master of gin and juice himself:

The supermarket’s new delivery service, which only launched this week, will now allow shoppers to choose from more than 20 spirits to order on the site, for the first time.

Prices start from as little as £3.75 for a bottle of their ‘smooth and mellow’ Irish Country Cream, but if you fancy splashing the cash, then for £24.99, you can get their most expensive gin, Fifty Eight.

In case you hadn’t heard, Aldi have been making a splash in the spirit-filled supermarket pool of late. One of their Whiskeys, priced at £18, was voted as one of the best in the world.

They also have a £10 bottle of gin, which again, was voted one of the best – even beating some high-end brands.

If things aren’t good enough already when you’re shopping at Aldi, they also offer a ‘create your own case’ purchasing option.

This fabulous addition allows customers to mix and match their favourite tipples from both the spirits and wine selections. It’s like music to my ears!

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said:

We launched our online wine store two years ago to ensure that our great quality and incredible value products were accessible to all of our customers, even if they don’t currently live near an Aldi store.

We are delighted to now be doing the same for spirits, opening up our award-winning range to thousands more customers across the country.

Why don’t you go one step further and venture into the world of alcohol slushies:

Aldi – the gift that keeps on giving – don’t even need you to place a minimum order for them to come out and deliver your goods!

The online service is available now, to customers across the UK, with the exception of Northern Ireland. It’s said to follow a rise in demand for spirits at the budget retailer.

Well Aldi, if you’re reading, I’d be happy to sample a few of these spirits if you want to send me some. All in the name of journalism of course…

Please remember though, if you are going to be drinking, always do so responsibly!
