It’s Christmas which means only one thing. Well, it means several things, but one of them is: grub.
Grub from all walks of life. Pigs in blankets, figgy pudding, Quality Street and now… Caramel churros!
That’s right festive folk, Aldi (who else?) has released the novelty party treat just six weeks till Christmas.
The product description reads, ‘Mini churros with a caramel flavoured filling and a sachet of cinnamon sugar for dusting.’
Each box of a dozen comes in at a more-than-welcome £1.69, meaning you’ll only be paying 14p per caramel churro.
On top of caramel, the supermarket is also offering a chocolate version of the snack.
Boxes of the churros are available across the country in Aldi stores now, and will be stocked until April 23, 2019. If you stomach them all the way till spring.
Not arsed about churros? Well, you’re exactly stuck for options this winter season.
For example McDonald’s have teamed up with Maltesers to bring us a Christmassy Maltesers Reindeer McFlurry.
The melt-in-your mouth chocolate reindeer treat, which Maltesers usually release in the winter season to replace their MaltEaster bunnies in the spring, has been shrunk down and sprinkled to create the perfect vanilla ice cream topping.
Complete with a swirl of chocolate sauce, the frozen food will be perfect for chocolate lovers and ice cream fans alike.
There’s two sizes of the cool new treats up for grabs as the McFlurrys will be available in both standard and mini size.
At just £1.29 for standard and 89p for a mini ice cream, you won’t have to worry about scrimping on your family’s Christmas presents in order to get your hands on one.
It will be released on November 21 which for reference is… very soon!
The Maltesers Reindeer McFlurry slots nicely into McDonald’s #ReindeerReady Christmas campaign, which is also reflected in their reindeer-emblazoned Christmas cups.
The ice cream joins the restaurant’s Christmas menu alongside their new Millionaire’s Latte, which will perfectly compliment the cold dessert in warming you up again ready to face the brisk outdoors.
The latte is made up of a large shot of espresso blended with steamed milk and a caramel biscuit flavour syrup, topped with a swirl of chocolate cream and a caramel drizzle to make it the ultimate Christmas treat.
At just £1.99 for medium and £2.99 for large latte, the Christmas drink will set you back less than a lot of other high street coffee shops while still providing the tasty festive beverage.
If you hate all of that, don’t worry! Christmas is all about Jesus at the end of the day. Not food!
