Benidorm Bar Selling Massive Full English Pizza

By :

A bar in Benidorm has created the culinary experience we never knew we needed – a full English breakfast, on a pizza.

The unusual meal is being served up by the Good Times Bar and Grill in the popular tourist hotspot, and will no doubt hit the spot if you’re in the mood for some satisfying, greasy food. It consists of eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, tomato and mushroom, all atop a cheesy pizza base.

On the surface, the full English pizza might seem like the perfect creation. It’s suitable for any time of day, it’s the ideal combination of drunk food and hangover food, and it’s made up of a whole host of delicious ingredients.

But as someone who isn’t a fan of mixing up different foods, I’m not entirely convinced.

Unlike regular pizza it would certainly be tricky – and messy – to eat with your hands, and the beans would no doubt make the base a bit soggy.

But to be fair, aside from the beans, the toppings aren’t that out of the ordinary for a pizza. Sausage and bacon are key for a meat feast; tomato is a staple of the dish; and even egg sometimes finds its way on to the more indie pizzas out there.

And let’s be honest, if people can stomach ham and pineapple, then the full English pizza would probably go down a treat for those who are happy to mix their meals.

The Good Times Bar and Grill need to work on the distribution of their ingredients a bit though, as the toppings seem a bit too spread out for you to really experience the taste of a full English in every bite. However, they’re certainly on the right track if they want to offer up the ideal breakfast pizza experience.

The dish reportedly contains around 2,600 calories, but its all-inclusive ingredients means you’d be set for the day after scoffing it, so don’t let the nutritional info deter you if you’re in the mood to give it a go!

The restaurant shared a picture of their creation online, where it was met with mixed reactions. One person described the dish as ‘rank’, but another was keen to let it tantalise their tastebuds.

While it might not be the most elegant of meals, I think the pizza is something that every Brit needs to try at least once in their life. Who knows? It could actually be the best way to eat a fry up!

What do you think about the dish?
