Burger King have brought the banter following KFC’s chicken shortage fiasco.

For the next two weeks, punters can get nine chicken nuggets for just 99p or a chicken roayle for £1.99 – this is more than a bargain by Burger King’s outrageous standards.

It seems they’re looking to claim a lot of lost KFC fans who’ve recently been unable to get their chicken fix.

The nuggets usually set customers back £2.99 while the chicken royale is priced at £4.20.

The fast food giants joked it doesn’t ‘chicken out’, firing shots at rivals KFC.

Burger King shouldn’t be so quick to judge KFC for committing the crime of RESPECTING CUSTOMER SERVICE BRO.

The chicken giants said:

We’re not far away from robots taking over the world, NASA even have a plan for when it happens, but until they do unfortunately computer systems can still go wrong… which ours did.

We hope to be back up and running before we have to wheel in Will Smith to sort things out, please bear with us.

Originally, a statement read on KFC’s website read:

We’ve brought a new delivery partner onboard, but they’ve had a couple of teething problems – getting fresh chicken out to 900 restaurants across the country is pretty complex!

We won’t compromise on quality, so no deliveries has meant some of our restaurants are closed and others are operating a limited menu, or shortened hours.

We know this might have inconvenienced some of you over the last few days and disappointed you when you wanted your fried chicken fix – we’re really sorry about that.

Shout out to our restaurant teams who are working flat out to get us back up and running again.

Hope to see you in our restaurants soon.

So essentially a new computer system organising the delivery of fresh chicken to your local KFC didn’t work and rather than the fried chicken connoisseurs giving you, the paying customer, bad chicken, they decided to cut their losses and wait for only the very best fresh and succulent chicken to be delivered, fried and sold to us.

Pretty good if you ask me. God bless KFC.
