The end is nigh, as this could be the food mashup to end all food mashups.
Burger King have decided to try and ‘improve’ their world famous Whopper, by wrapping it in a soft tortilla and turning it into a burrito. Because, of course.
It sees ground flame-grilled beef, melting American cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, onions and pickles wrapped into a snug flour tortilla.
According to U.S. website GrubGrade – which first broke the news that Burger King were toying with this idea – the ‘Whopperrito’ is currently being trialed at locations in Pennsylvania.
However, it remains to be seen if the Whopperito will make the trip across the Atlantic.
For many (we imagine) this will be the drunk food of your dreams, but we’re just not sure about it – at all.
And it seems we’re not the only ones…
