On average the UK will consume more than 300 million mince pies each Christmas, making them the nation’s favourite festive treat. For Christmas 2018, Iceland is serving shoppers an extra sweet treat with Mince Pie Ice Cream Cones launching in store and online on November 19.

A first in retail, the festive cones strike the perfect balance with a delicate ice cream, filled with vibrant fruit flavours and richly warming spices, served in a cone and four of them for £1.50. What’s not to love?

The UK is a nation of mince pie lovers, but, if Iceland’s Ice Cream Cones don’t take your fancy, the supermarket is also launching Luxury Mince Pie Scottish Shortbread Rounds (£1.50, 160g).

Neil Nugent, Head Chef at Iceland, said:

We’ve seen more and more shoppers looking for quirky ways to enjoy festive treats, so we came up with this combination of two of our customer’s favourites. These great quality ice creams have a light festive flavour and are perfect for the whole family.

Iceland is recognised as the leader in frozen food with over 900 stores in the UK. The company say it prides itself on being a convenient and friendly place to do the family’s weekly shop, as well as meet everyone’s daily top-up shopping needs for fresh, chilled and frozen food and groceries.
