‘Some like it hot‘ claimed Marilyn Monroe in 1959. I am one of those people – if you’re talking about a Vindaloo that is.
Yes, I’m that irritating prick that asks for everything in a restaurant to be ‘really hot’, doused in chilies, garlic, or drizzled in something atomic.
The weirdest part is – I don’t actually know why I like it. There’s just something rather beautiful and addictive about turning your tongue and tastebuds into the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.
Now for the good news – Nando’s has just launched their hottest ever sauce, Vusa, reports the Mirror, which literally translates to ‘excitement and fire’ in Zulu. Delicious.
Nando’s claim that the new sauce is ‘intense and full bodied’, containing more peri-peri chillis per bottle than any other, and apparently it goes perfectly with chicken and chips.
Vusa is also rumoured to make the current hottest sauce, Extra Extra Hot, the Nando’s equivalent of Chicken Tika Massala – okay, maybe not that much but you get the point.
But Vusa isn’t just napalm in a bottle it also contains a whole multitude of different flavours including citrus, garlic, and onion.
Nando’s said about their sauce:
It’s our hottest sauce yet. Versatile enough to drizzle on everything from flame-grilled chickenwings to spicy chips, yet fiery enough to impress mates and dates alike.
Vusa comes out today and I cannot wait to get my hands all over it.
