A strange new restaurant craze is sweeping the world with toilet-themed restaurants opening in Los Angeles, South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines and now Europe.
These weirdly themed restaurants really commit to their theme, you sit on toilets while eating and drinking meals that look like poop and pee out of smaller toilets.
If you’d like to eat out of a loo why not spend a penny and take a trip to Moscow, where Europe’s first “bathroom and plumbing” themed restaurant, The Crazy Toilet Café, has just opened up.
Inga Yaroslavskaya, The Crazy Toilet Café manager, is surprisingly confident that the novelty of the café will draw people in telling The Guardian:
We think people will walk past, think, ‘What on Earth is that?’ and then come in to check it out. It’s not everywhere you can eat good food from a toilet bowl and drink from a urinal at very reasonable prices.
Well she’s not wrong there.
Prices at the restaurant are pretty reasonable, for around five quid you can get soup, sausage and mash plus dessert, you do have to eat from a toilet though.
Who knows the craze may catch on here in the UK? Could it replace a cheeky Nandos? Maybe but it’s probably not the best place for a first date, maybe number two?
