The Kit Kat Chunky is a versatile delight. From crème brûlée to banana, ginger ale to green tea, there’s a bizarrely beautiful flavour for every palette. And that’s before you’ve even tried to use one as a straw in your tea.
Now there’s a new, dreamy addition to the fabulous freakfest. The New York Cheesecake Kit Kat Chunky is set to hit shelves September 18 and professes to give a true taste of ‘Nu Yawk’.
Cheesecake lovers will feel a thrill imagining their favourite light and fluffy dessert revamped as a sizeable wedge of chocolate.
If you’re worried this will be another half-arsed flavoured product which tastes only vaguely like what it promises, then rest assured. Food bloggers are saying it’s well good, which gives us all the hope we need to stick our faces into some chocolate.
Although the vanilla-licious has let to launch, some eagle-eyed snackers have managed to get their hands on a bar, and all reports suggest this will be a classic right up there with the much lauded Peanut Chunky.
Among those impressed with the bar is food blogger Nibbles ‘N’ Scribbles:
The creamy milk chocolate started off as the star of the show, then in came a smooth yet slightly intense vanilla flavour that did not taste artificial.
The wafer acted as the base of the cheesecake and didn’t do a bad job.
To me it had a light tanginess to it too, it could have done with a bit more but this is by far the best cheesecake flavoured jobby I have had.
If you can’t wait until it’s release on September 18 you’ll be excited to know some branches of Tesco are selling it early, so keep your eyes peeled during your next snack run.
The city was so good they named it twice.
Which gives a great excuse for buying two!
