If like me you’re still reeling from the devastating news that Wetherpoons have decided to axe Sunday roasts from their menu, it’s probably best if you sit down for this.

Not only are the scraping their roasts, but they’re also going to increase prices on other menu items as well.

According to The Mirror, the budget pub chain are raising the price on their Breakfast Club menu between five and 10 per cent.

If you’re after a hangover curing fried fest – as I currently am – a full English breakfast will set you back £3.25, up from £2.99.

As well as that, porridge is set to increase by 20p to £2.39, while their large teas and coffees have risen to £1.10

There is some consolation though, if you’re there for the booze – which most people are – Wetherspoons have said they won’t be raising the price of their top-selling beer brands.

These are dark times, but at least we can still drown our sorrows for a reasonable price.
