Do you want to enjoy a nice refreshing drink while surrounded by zombies and monsters? If there isn’t a Wetherspoons nearby, Capcom’s new Resident Evil 2 themed Safehouse bar could be the next best thing.
This “immersive experience” will be coming to the The Barge House in London’s South Bank on Friday, January 25, which is also the day the Resident Evil 2 remake launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
If you’re not too busy playing the game then, you can head over to the bar on Friday or Saturday and make your way through a “derelict Raccoon City Police Department” in the wake of an unfortunate outbreak of zombies.
Using your keen survival instincts (ie, run really fast), you’ll have to navigate a twisted funhouse of ghouls and undead before arriving at the Safehouse bar, which serves themed cocktails and branded Raccoon City beers.
If you can’t be bothered with the interactive aspect of the whole thing and just fancy a pint, you can just head straight to the bar, which will also have a number of gaming stations so that you can go hands on with the new game itself.
In other Resident Evil 2 news, a special 30 minute “one shot” demo of the remake is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 11. In it, players will have just half an hour to complete the mission objective and unlock an exclusive trailer for the game
