Amazon Listing Suggests Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Trilogy Remaster

It’s been a turbulent few days for Call of Duty fans. We’ve had a leak that’s all but confirmed the next game will be called Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – but that’s just the tip of the iceberg (apparently).

See, an entirely separate leak seemed to suggest that the beloved Modern Warfare will be getting a remaster for current gen consoles. According to the below image, the remastered edition will be included as download with Infinite Warfare.

And then the official Call of Duty Twitter account further fueled the flames (with a poop emoji, no less).

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare getting a remaster? It’s literally what fans have been crying out for for years now, and the evidence seems to be in favour of it happening.

Now, we embark on a journey to a much shakier rumour that links in to the Modern Warfare remaster. Namely, that we’ll be getting remasters for the entire Modern Warfare trilogy.

The “leaked” Amazon listing was first noticed by David Scammell on Twitter, appearing on both the UK and Japanese Amazon sites, but has since disappeared. Take a look below.

I call fake listing, to be honest. It seems like a lot of effort on Activision’s part to remaster three old games, and bring out a completely new Call of Duty at the same time.

Plus, it doesn’t really add up with the previous leak. If Call of Duty 4 is set to arrive as a bonus with Infinite Warfare, what would be the point of trying to sell a Modern Warfare trilogy, if one third of that collection was already on offer with another game?

What with the first Modern Warfare arguably being the most popular and demanded remaster, I would imagine Activision will sort us out with that one and leave it there.

I expect we’ll find out more whenever we finally get some official news on Infinite Warfare, anyway.
