Ubisoft Singapore have some pretty big games under their belt. Known for their work on the likes of Assassin’s Creed 3 and Ghost Recon: Phantoms, the developers have now revealed they’re working on one of the biggest projects at Ubisoft across consoles and PC.

At GDC, Olivier de Rotalier (managing director for Ubisoft’s Singapore and Southeast Asia) discussed the opening of a new studio in the Philippines and shared some information on his studio’s current state.

Rotalier said:

We’ve been very happy to be involved in many titles.

We’ve built two main expertise in Singapore: one in AAA games, the other in PC online with Ghost Recon: Phantoms. We’ve built 10 AAA games in seven years.

And now our studio is leading one of the biggest Ubisoft projects on console and PC.

It’s not clear yet whether this project is an entirely new IP, or an existing franchise in Ubisoft’s ever growing stable of mega blockbusters. Personally, I just want a new Rayman – but I’ve always been a dreamer.

If it does end up being an existing franchise, there’s a good chance it could either be Watch Dogs 2, or the new Assassin’s Creed which is said to be set in Egypt.

The studio certainly have a good level of experience with the AC franchise, so it’d be a good fit… But I’ll still be sat here, demanding Rayman. Sorry to harp on about it.
