We may have seen gameplay from Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate already, but this new trailer fresh out of Gamescom gives us a taste of the motives and story behind the two main protagonists, Jacob and Evie Frye.
Set in Victorian England, the previous gameplay vids have shown off the typically dank scenery and cockney tomfoolery you’d expect from the time period. Horse drawn carriage battles and scrappin’ on steam trains were of course common practice back in the day.
You’ll play as both Evie and Jacob Frye throughout the course of the game, but they’ll have very different styles. Whereas Jacob will be your typical ball-bustin’ assassin, making steak ‘n’ kidney pudding out of anybody that crosses him, Evie will present a more measured approach, dabbling in science and technology to outwit her enemies.
Ubisoft have naturally promised that Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate won’t be as busted as Unity was on arrival and you’d have to expect only the best from this one. Syndicate will drop on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 23rd.
