The BAFTA Games Awards kick off tonight, hosted by comedian Dara Ó Briain and boasting a fantastic selection of nominations. If the evening proves anything, it’s that it was a fucking great year for videogames.
Of course, a quick shout out to John Carmack, lead programmer on gems like Doom and Wolfenstein 3D, who was honored with a (very much deserved) BAFTA fellowship award. We owe that guy hours upon hours of awesome memories.
