If, like many of us, you’ve been enjoying the carnage of the Battlefield 1 open beta, you’ll be sad to hear that it’s coming to an end. But the good news is, you’ve still got a couple of days left to play.
EA announced via Twitter that the open beta will come to a close on September 8 – that’s this Thursday. They also announced that there’s a change coming to conquest mode for the last couple of days.
Specifically, they’ve said that the round timer in conquest will be disabled, but there will be no change to the timer in rush. They also re-confirmed that any progress made during the beta won’t transfer over to the full game. So all those level 40s that keep kicking your ass are going to be like new-born babies come release day.
The beta started on August 30 for Battlefield insiders and opened up to the wider community on August 31. EA hadn’t previously denoted an exact end date before today. We also don’t know exactly when on Thursday the beta will shut, so get your game time in when you can.
Battlefield 1 will launch on October 21 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
