Battlefield 1 Will Be Shown Off At This EA Event In June

By :

EA has announced that the first official livestream for the hotly anticipated Battlefield 1 will take place at E3 2016, Sunday June 12.

The WWI shooter stream will begin at 2pm PST (10pm UK time), which is roughly a few hours before EA kick off their big E3 press conference.

A line from the event’s description on the Battlefield website reads:

Excited to see Battlefield 1 in action? Tune in on June 12 at 2 PM PT for Battlefield Squads, where 64 players will take part in the first-ever livestream of Battlefield 1 gameplay.

The livestream will feature something called Battlefield Squads, a chaotic 64-player deathmatch. Battlefield community members NOOB and StoneMountain64 will be serving as team captains.

Their respective team rosters are expected to include popular YouTubers and Twitch streamers as well as “a few special guests”.

If you’re feeling left out, here’s some potential good news: Anyone has a chance at attending the event and participating in the livestream, through the magic of online competitions.

To win a trip to E3 (kind a big deal in itself) for the EA Play event, all you need to do is follow and tweet @Battlefield with a video explaining why you should get to go.

Or you can send your all your banking and credit card details to me and I’ll make sure you get there. Maybe.

Entries need to be submitted by June 3 (for the official contest, not my shady scheme), and you can read the full contest rules right here.

Battlfield 1 comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC October 21, with a beta confirmed for some time before launch.
