If you’re already getting pretty sick of Luke and Vader, then this leak is going to be cantina music to your ears.
With the Star Wars Battlefront beta now in full swing on PC and consoles, intrepid reddit user TheeUberMedic has been digging around inside the game’s files and found some pretty interesting things. One particular thing, was the names of some of the other hero characters to be featured in the game – and they’re pretty much who you’d expect.
TheeUberMedic uncovered a file named “characters.cb”where references to Han Solo, Princess Leia and the Emperor were all found alongside Luke, Vader and Boba Fett. All three characters have long since been a rumour to make an appearance, so the news ill come as little surprise to most.
But wait, there’s more.
There was also a file found titled “Hero Battle”, which likely eludes to a new game mode, and a directory of weapons and vehicles that will be available in the game. TheeUberMedic has promised to release these at a later date. Since the leak was announced, EA have changed the names of their files, presumably to stop this kind of thing from happening.
The Star Wars Battlefront open beta is available to download and play right now for free on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC and will run until October 12. The full game is scheduled for release on November 19 in the UK across all above platforms.
