Belle Delphine’s Used Bath Water Has Sold Out And People Are Drinking It

I find it odd enough when people share their bathwater but some have taken to actually drinking the used liquid after Belle Delphine started selling hers online.

The 19-year-old is a cos-player and self-described ‘gamer girl’ with 4.1 million followers on Instagram, where she regularly posts risque gaming and anime-themed photos.

As well as offering a range of content on social media the model has an online store selling various objects adorned with her face, including posters and a mouse mat, but it looks like the most coveted product is her used bathwater.

You might be thinking, ‘but what would I do with someone else’s used bathwater?’ Well, apparently drinking it is a popular choice:

Last week, the Instagram star shared a snap of herself sat in the bath holding a jar and an Xbox controller and revealed her online store would be stocking jars of water scooped straight from her tub for $30 (£24) a pop.

It might seem like a lot to pay for some old water but apparently people were very keen to get their hands on Gamer Girl Bath Water because Belle’s online store is officially out of stock.

In the post, she said she was selling the product for ‘THIRSTY gamer boys and, following the initial announcement, she shared a video of herself in the tub filling the jars and spitting water into them.

Her stock sold out just three days later and Belle took to Instagram once again to reassure her followers there would be more available soon.

She wrote:

So my bath water SOLD OUT wtf…. i will be making some more soon but its been honestly a weird couple of days taking SO many baths LMAO

i didnt expect this many people to be so interested, but if you wanted one…they will be back soon!

While Belle’s customers have likely come up with a number of different uses for the water, a couple of videos have popped up showing her followers using it as a beverage.

However, the cos-player’s store does point out the bath water is not for drinking. So if you could not do that should you get your hands on some, that’d be great.

The site reads:

Bottled while I’m playing in the bath. This really is bath water.

disclaimer: This water is not for drinking and should only be used for sentimental purposes

YouTuber Pyrocynical, aka Niall Murphy, uploaded the above video, titled ‘trying Belle Delphine’s bathwater’ yesterday. He described the product as ‘salty’, ‘musky’ and ‘stagnant’. I don’t know about you, but none of those adjectives scream ‘drink me’.

Another YouTuber named S Pete described the smell as ‘old Indian food in a dirty diaper’. Again, not exactly a mouthwatering description.

Nevertheless, both YouTubers went ahead and tasted Belle’s water. Murphy gave it a solid attempt before retching and having to give up but Pete decided to mix the water with other products, like noodles.

Neither customer seemed very impressed with their purchase but I’m sure it was an interesting experience all the same.

It’s become such an interesting experience people have even been creating fake news about it for the injection of viral fame into their veins. One story doing the rounds is that someone was hospitalised after drinking the water. At the time of writing, this is simply not true and has been outed as such, so don’t believe the hype.

Regardless, I, nor Belle herself, would advise drinking the bathwater if you get some.
