Fallout 4 is perhaps the most anticipated title of 2015 and with its release now imminent, Bethesda have announced plans for DLC in a recent blog post.

Bethesda
Here’s what to expect:

-Regular updates: The game will have regular, free updates based on player feedback, much like Skyrim did. The post uses examples like Skyrim’s mounted combat, kill cams and visual enhancements.

-Mods & Creation Kit: Fallout 4 will offer full support for mods on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Though the option to make mods doesn’t yet exist – it’ll probably come as a free download some time next year – the post does promise that mods will arrive on PC first, followed by the Xbox, before finally coming to the Playstation. Bethesda games tend to have a thriving modding community, so this news will come as a relief to those who enjoy tweaking the game.

-DLC: Bethesda have confirmed that a season pass for Fallout 4 DLC will cost $30, though they have no concrete plans of what to make. Yet. What we do know, is that the DLC will start coming sometime early next year.

Bethesda have a pretty decent history of producing DLC for their games, with the likes of Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 3 all getting healthy doses of the stuff. The blog post does mention that they plan to produce at least $40 worth of DLC, but in the event that they produce more, the season pass will cover it all.
