Bethesda Support Glitch Accidentally Leaks Customers Details

There’s been a surprising new development in the great Bethesda bag saga of 2018, as the company has now managed to leak a number of private customer details.

Customers who submitted online tickets to Bethesda to get their cheap collector’s edition nylon bags replaced with the previously advertised canvas bags were accidentally given access to parts of Bethesda’s support system, including a lot of personal customer info.

Thankfully, this glitch seems to have been addressed now, but not before a number of uses on Reddit reported that they’d gotten a look at customer addresses, phone numbers, and even some card details, apparently.

I am receiving every single one of your support tickets on my Bethesda account. Mostly it’s your receipts for your power armor set requesting a new bag. These receipts contain all your info. Your email and home address and the card you used to buy this extremely glitched game.

Meanwhile, the below was posted to Twitter, showing off exactly what these users could see on their Bethesda accounts.

A Bethesda community manager soon responded with a simple “hi guys, we’ve resolved the issue.” Not exactly the kind of apology you might want for having your personal details leaked online, is it?

At a certain point, you have to feel sorry for Bethesda. Fallout 76 has clearly given them nothing but headaches since release. Well, you don’t have to feel sorry for them, I kind of do though.
