The world wants a new Age of Empires, and if anyone can get shit done at Microsoft, it’s Bill Gates himself, surely? That was the reasoning by one plucky Redditor last night anyway, as Mr Gates himself took to Reddit for an AMA.
There were all manner of interesting questions thrown his way, but user le-click got right down to brass tacks and politely requested a new entry in the popular strategy series.

Miraculously, Bill chose to respond. He assured Reddit that he will certainly “look into it”. But will he, though? Time will tell I guess.
The last Age of Empires game was three years ago, and that was a HD remake. Age of Empires 3 was over ten years ago, so you certainly can’t fault the fans for wanting number 4.
Now, I don’t know much about Bill Gates, but I imagine he’s the kind of guy with the means to make things happen (especially at the company he founded). Go on Bill, pick up the phone. Make Age of Empires 4 a thing.
