BioShock The Collection Officially Confirmed By 2K

After leaks and rumours that can be traced back to the first heartbeat of recorded time, publisher 2k has finally announced BioShock The Collection.

We were first treated to a post from the official – and newly minted – BioShock Twitter account. It posted an image of Big Daddy and Little Sister from the first game, which was then retweeted by 2K games.

Soon after (and still with no official word ), an update to the 2K Games website accidentally shared a bunch of screenshots for a Bioshock collection early. Oops.

Thankfully, after more leaks than I ever thought possible, the collection was finally, officially unveiled.

As suspected, you can look forward to all three titles in the series: BioShock, BioShock 2 and the divisive BioShock Infinite, plus all single player DLC.

The collection will also feature director’s commentary from creative director Ken Levine and lead artist Shawn Robertson, plus a whole bunch of other behind the scenes treats.

While the remastered BioShock 2 will no longer feature multiplayer, there is all new content to get stuck into, such as a virtual museum full of extra challenges.

All three games seem to be getting tidied up a little bit for release on PS4 and Xbox One, though it’s clearly not a ground-up remake. Check out the trailer below.

You can pick up BioShock The Collection on PS4 or Xbox One from September 13. Meanwhile, PC gamers won’t be getting BioShock Infinite, but they can still look forward to remasters of the first two games.
