New reports suggest that Blizzard are hard at work on a brand new game, according to two new job listings on the company site.
The listings in question call for two lead software engineers, preferably with experience in working on first-person games. Blizzard go on to describe the game as an ‘unannounced project that utilizes a robust first-person engine’.
Overwatch is the first (and so far only) first-person game that Blizzard has ever developed, but it’s safe to say that the team nailed it first time out.
It’s unclear whether the job listings are for an entirely new game or not – it could be possible that the company is planning some kind of major expansion for Overwatch.
Earlier in the year, the existence of a new Diablo was revealed, not through an exciting trailer or press release, but again through a job listing.
Meanwhile, Overwatch continues to impress fans and critics everywhere with continued support, interesting new characters, and a recent (very well received) Halloween event.
The online FPS also did well at the Golden Joystick awards recently, sweeping up Best Multiplayer and Best Original Game, while Play of the Game picked up the gong for Best Gaming Moment.

After graduating from the University of Portsmouth in 2015 with a BA in Journalism & Media Studies (thanks for asking), he went on to do some freelance words for various places, including Kotaku, Den of Geek, and TheSixthAxis, before landing a full time gig at UNILAD in 2016.
