Well, you wait nearly a decade for Rockstar to release a sequel for one of its beloved franchises, then two turn up at once. It’s looking like Bully 2 might well be following Red Dead Redemption 2 after all.

RockstarIntel reports that Rockstar games has just put out a casting call which heavily implies that a sequel to the 2006 hit Bully is finally in development. So yeah, it might be time to get excited.

Apparently, there are seven casting calls for a “new unannounced video game title with a leading UK games developer, shooting at Pinewood Studios.” They’re mainly looking for teenagers and young people to fill these roles.

Of course, there are plenty of games that feature young’uns, so there’s nothing in that to suggest it might be Bully 2 – but the casting call does include some intriguing (albeit vague) details on the project.

It reads:

Mild violence and profanity will be used in scenes with the young performer. The project itself is a thriller/drama and all scenes with the young performer will be handled with sensitivity.

Again, this is by no means a solid confirmation, but it certainly sounds like a potential Bully 2 – cheeky nippers doing wrong is what the game is all about, after all.

Some casting calls even mention “college professors”, which further hints at a scholastic setting.

Take all of this with a pinch with a salt, but since it’s been over a decade since the last Bully, Rockstar must be aware that fans are desperate for a sequel, so this certainly isn’t an impossibility.

Back in June, there were rumours that Bully 2 would be the next game from Rockstar after Red Dead Redemption 2 launched. With the latter game’s launch imminent, it would make sense for Rockstar to start gearing up for a return trip to Bullworth Academy.
