E3 2019 wrapped up last month, and the rumour mill has predictably begun to shudder to life once more. Following on from recent GTA 6 rumours, we’re now hearing new reports on Rockstar’s other anticipated sequel; Bully 2.

The original Bully was released waaaay back in 2006, so fans of the nervy schoolboy sim are understandably desperate to learn everything they can about the follow-up. The problem is that we don’t actually know anything for sure yet – Rockstar won’t even confirm that a sequel is in development.

That hasn’t stopped the rumours from flying, of course. Last year, we heard from a supposed insider at Rockstar Games who claimed that Bully 2 would be the next game from the studio after Red Dead Redemption 2, which launched October last year.

A few months after that, a casting call was discovered online that many believed was for a Bully sequel, as it mentioned working with a “major UK developer” at Pinewood Studios. The call also made references to young performers and college professors, further hinting at a scholastic setting.

Now, a massive supposed leak from Reddit user JackOLantern1982 has outlined a ton of information regarding Grand Theft Auto 6It’s an incredibly detailed post that mostly focuses on the next GTA, but there’s one interesting detail on Bully 2.

JackOLantern1982 claims in his post that GTA 6 is now the primary focus at Rockstar, alongside another title which he believes to be Bully 2. When asked for more details further in the thread, JackOLantern1982 said all they’d heard is that you’ll play as the first game’s Jimmy Hopkins again, and that the game will follow his exploits as a freshman at university.

Another GTA 6 leak shared to Reddit seemed to corroborate JackOLantern1982’s claims, and also went into a little more detail on Bully 2. Specifically, they wrote that the sequel will indeed feature Jimmy as a university freshman, that the game will have more adult vehicles to drive, and that the world will be split into three areas; university campus, city, and forest.

As with the GTA 6 rumours, I’d suggest you approach the Bully 2 reports with a healthy dose of skepticism for right now. It’s also worth noting that Gerry Rosenthal, who voiced Jimmy in the original game, said back in March that he hasn’t heard anything about a sequel from Rockstar.

It could be that Rosenthal is lying, of course. It could also be that Rockstar decided to go with another actor to better portray an older Jimmy. Unfortunately, we won’t know for sure until Rockstar decides to reveal what exactly it’s been working on, post RDR2.
