For those of you itching to play it (I know you’re out there, don’t be scared to admit it) Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer beta is scheduled to kick off October 14.
Publisher Activision has announced a full schedule, including exact details on timing for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Curiously, the beta won’t make it to PC, despite the fact that the final game will.
The multiplayer beta will take place across two weekends. Those who preordered a copy on PS4 will be able to play from 6pm (UK time) on October 14 to October 17, wrapping up at 6pm on the Monday.
The second weekend is for both PS4 and Xbox One preorder players, and runs from October 21 to October 24 (again, starting and ending at 6pm).
There’s no word yet on whether the beta will remain exclusive to those who preordered, although it is worth noting that last year’s Black Ops III beta eventually opened up to everyone.
It’s not clear what maps and modes will be coming in the beta just yet, though Activision confirmed we’ll learn more ‘in the coming weeks’.
Regarding the remastered elephant in the room, we also don’t know if there’ll be a beta for the updated version of Modern Warfare – but I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 4.
