Now that they’re done tearing the gaming world a new one with The Witcher 3, CD Projekt RED have shifted their entire focus over to their mysterious IP, Cyberpunk 2077.
In case you were in any doubt as to just how much time and effort; they’ve got more people working on the project than they ever had working on The Witcher 3. Just think about how huge and teeming with life that game was, and let it sink in for a second.
The studio said as much in a post on NeoGAF stating:
There are currently more game developers working on Cyberpunk 2077 than on The Witcher 3 in its most intensive month.
The game was first announced way back in 2013 and will be a futuristic RPG. That’s literally all the info we have on it right now, with CD Projekt RED keeping their Gwent cards close to their chest. There’s still no release date attached to the game, and we don’t know if there will be any kind of multiplayer along for the ride.
We do however assume that the game will be coming to PC and consoles, much as the Witcher games have in the past.
