Check Out These Gorgeous New Dishonored 2 Screens

The original Dishonored was one of the big surprises of 2012, quietly coming in and charming gamers everywhere with its unique take on the stealth/action formula.

So it’s great news that developer Arkane Studios are hard at work on Dishonored 2 at the moment. The first game was awesome, but not without its problems, so a sequel is very much a good idea. Judging by these new screenshots, things are shaping up rather nicely.

The original Dishonored was a first person stealth action game developed by Arkane and published by Bethesda.

You took control of Corvo Attano, a royal bodyguard who was framed for murder and kidnap. Naturally, our boy breaks out and fun ensues.

As with the first game, Dishonored 2 will offer multiple paths based on how you respond to certain situations. If you so wish, you could even get through the game without any unnecessary murder – but what fun would that be?

While the last game saw you go solo, this time around you can choose to play as either Corvo or the Empress Emily Kaldwin.

You’ll play as the Empress in the game’s prologue, and will then have to decide who you want to play as for the rest of the game. Naturally, both characters have different abilities and stories – I smell replay value.

Again, as with the first game, you’ll be able to play with a host of awesome powers, but this time around the upgrading system has been changed to a skill tree with multiple paths and more possible upgrades, including lethal or non lethal options.

Corvo has held on to the abilities he was able to use in the first game, while Emily will have a different set of powers, including “Far Reach” which acts as an invisible grappling hook, and “Shadow Walk” which allows her to turn into a shadowy cloud so as to better go about her stealthy business.
